Data basis
- Period: 2015-05-31 to 2026-10-30. 1,032 offers for Chocolate from 10 retailers are recorded.
- Only offer prices that retailers themselves published in a leaflet or on their website are counted. We do not know the shelf price.
- An offer belongs to Chocolate when its title contains the keyword as a whole word. Not counted, for example: hot chocolate, chocolate biscuits, chocolate spread, chocolate cake.
- An unchanged offer is not stored again every week. The figures therefore count recorded entries and weeks with a newly recorded entry, not days of sale and not units sold.
- The column Weeks recorded in total counts the weeks of the year in which we recorded offers of any product at all.
- Entries with a price below €0.10 are not counted as read errors. A price below 20% of the median price of its pack size is not shown as the lowest price.
